MISSION STATEMENT:
"To serve its REALTOR® members by providing programs, products, and services which enhance the ability of members to operate their businesses successfully in an ethical professional and legal manner."

MEMBERSHIP:
Over 1,200 REALTOR® and Affiliate Members.

HISTORY:
Two years older than Indian River County, the REALTORS® Association of Indian River County was organized by Waldo W. Sexton, who served as the first President, Dr. J.L. Hutchinson, A.W. Young, E.J. Wood, and A.M. Hill in October 1923 when the population of Indian River County was 4,700.

PURPOSE:
Both Indian River County and the Association of REALTORS® have grown over the years but the purpose for the Association's existence has remained the same:

• To promote and maintain high standards of conduct in the real estate profession.
• To provide a unified medium for real estate owners and those engaged in the real estate profession whereby their interests may be safeguarded and advanced.
• To further the interest in home and other real property ownership.
• To serve its members by providing and promoting services to enhance members' freedom and ability to conduct their individual businesses successfully with integrity and competency.
