REALTORS® Association of Indian River County is an all REALTOR® member organization. Its purposes are to provide its members with programs, products, and services which enhance their ability to operate successfully in an ethical, professional and legal manner.
All real estate licensees in the state of Florida are required to have completed and passed the state licensing course and exam. New members to the REALTORS® Association of Indian River County are also required to complete an orientation program.
Education continues to be a high priority with our members. In addition to the state required continuing education classes, programs for technical skills development are presented on a regular basis. Members are encouraged to pursue specialty designations such as Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Property Manager (CPM) and others.
Whenever there are changes in federal, state or local laws that affect the practices of our members, REALTORS® Association of Indian River County communicates this information to its members in a variety of means. These include written bulletins and training programs or workshops as required.
A Florida real estate license permits the holder to practice anywhere in the state of Florida. The majority of our members focus on the immediate geographic areas of Indian River County, southern Brevard County and northern St. Lucie County. Some of our members serve other areas, usually based on a specialty type of market such as commercial and investment property, acreage and groves, and higher priced estate homes.
