Personal Assistants? Someone to get the coffee, return the surplus phone calls, and pick up lunch, right? What about helping you with personal errands, or trusting them with legal, financial, or sensitive items? Realtors® who decide to begin interviewing for a Personal Assistant need to understand how that person can and cannot help them according to the law, and this course will help them recognize the policies and procedures surrounding hiring and employing an assistant.
Are you unsure about the difference in duties between a licensed assistant and a non-licensed assistant? Not sure what types of questions you can and cannot ask in an interview? This is the course for any Realtor® facing those questions.
Objectives: After taking this class students will be able to:
• List the duties a non-licensed personal assistant and a licensed personal assistant may perform.
• How to interview candidates and determine the right person to hire.
• How to assemble a policy manual and checklist which will aid in the training of a personal assistant.
• Have alternative methods of paying their employee and what taxes they can be held responsible for.

3 hours CE credit.
